One of our PhD students, Chloe Robinson, has been visiting angling groups to give a talk about the Crayfish Count initiative, which is the citizen science element of her PhD research.

 

Subsequently, a number of angling groups have agreed to collaborate in collecting data on crayfish distribution and eDNA sampling within Wales.

 

These clubs include:

Merthyr Tydfil Angling Association (Tony Rees)

Afan Valley Angling Club

 

In the coming months, more angling clubs will be visited, meaning hopefully more collaborations will be established.
